Interestingly, Shakira recently announced the title of her latest single, which appears to take a dig at her ex-partner Gerard Pique.

After apparently taking a job at her ex-boyfriend’s dating Clara, who is now dating Shakira once again, referred to in the title of her latest single, Shakira once again references her in the lyrics. The line “She’s got the name of a good person. Clearly is not how it sounds” is a clear allusion to Clara, with “clearly” being the English translation of “claramente” in Spanish. Shakira performed a medley of her biggest hits, including She Wolf, Objection (Tango), Hips Don’t Lie, and Whenever, Wherever at the MTV VMA Awards. To end her sensational performance, she dove into the crowd in true rock star fashion and received a standing ovation from the impressed audience.
Shakira and Gerard have announced their separation, ending their long-term relationship that lasted for 11 years. In the past, they were captured in photos together, including one from 2014. They called it quits in June 2022.
